Twitter - a free social networking community. Some call tweets "Micro blogs." People can follow and be followed by anyone in the world. Tweets consists of anything from news media to ads and famous people's hourly updates to charity aids asking for help/updating on cures.
Facebook - a free social networking community. Anyone can join, but unlike twitter, people have to "confirm" a friend. TypePad is a paid blogging service. It is the largest paid blogging service in the world. You can make your blog personalized and connect with others by joining clubs and groups. You can also track your blogs stats.
